Never Mind The Ballistics Bath Bomb

Never Mind The Ballistics Review

Modeled on the well known Roller Bath bomb , Never Mind The Ballistics Bath Bomb has been released this year as part of the Christmas collection and what a beauty she is .

Its name being a play on words of a famous sex pistols album lush describe this fruity bath bomb as ' anarchic ' though alot of us Lushies dont really understand why.

Never Mind the ballistics is quite the looker , A bright yellow bath bomb dipped into a vat of oils and butters marrying the bath bomb and the bath melt meaning that we can all have the fizzing display and strong scent of a bath bomb while getting all the benefits of a bath melt.

The smell reminds me of the tutti fruity chewits when I was a child , packed with lime , wild orange oil and fresh bananas it is fresh , fruity and sweet with a very mild citrus twist that fills the room and stays in the water .

The Lush website say that this bath bomb Fizzes and Rolls spewing colour with no holds bared energy and it isn't wrong despite the heaviness from the moment its popped into the bath he begins to spin and fizz , cruising around the water leaving a beautiful array of stunning yellow , pink  and orange trail  working as well as any other bath bomb, to my surprise the bath melt also started to ooze straight away and doesn't take much longer than the bath bomb to completely disappear leaving a  gleam of oils on the water .

because of the fair trade cocoa butter this creamy bath is really moisturizing but not greasy , I was even able to wash my hair in the water without worry and came out of the bath with heavenly soft skin that was in very good condition smelling delicious  I was truly impressed  . this was a truly luxurious bath that made my mouth water I cant find anything not to love and will be stocking up.

I LOVE IT !!!

Snow Fairy Body Conditioner

Snow Fairy Body Conditioner Review

One of the first things people where telling me when I got into lush was ,you wait till christmas and the snow fairy range comes out you will fall in love.

For alot of lushies out there christmas wouldn't be christmas without Snow Fairy . Original bought out as just a shower gel with a new sickly sweet scent many moons ago, it quickly because a firm favorite released year after year in the seasonal collection to the point that this scent family has now been released in nearly every format lush has to offer, making it one of the biggest established ranges, continuing to grow bigger every year and this year was no exception.

If Like me you are new to the snow fairy scent but are looking for something extra sweet , you have a sweet tooth craving and are looking for  that sugar fix then look know further .

The only way I can describe this smell is to say, take pink candy floss ( yes there is actually candyfloss water in there ) and the little pink sweets you get in a pic n mix, add a load more sugar , pop a cheery on top and you have it ! .

While some products in the snow fairy range are often a little weaker smelling the body conditioner pulls no punches and easily smells as strong as the shower gel everyone knows and loves.

In the pot the  body conditioner is a bright  baby pink with a little shimmer on top that does not run throughout the lotion so good news for those not so keen on the glittered look and the scent really poors out with a pop.

Lush Have only released a handful of Body Conditioners in there time and now snow fairy is one of them . The idea of them being that you can save time when getting ready in a hurry and essentially lotion your body in the bath or shower , when your all done washing simply slather on approximately 3 dessert spoons of this all over that body , no need to rub it in just smooth it over the skin and rinse off  the conditioner just sliding off under warm no effort needed.........Ta Da! you have moisturized you whole body.. no need for lotion .

This body conditioner is packed full of  avocado butter , cocoa butter, mango oil and cherry infusion and is amazingly moisturizing , leaving a very light layer on the skin that really isn't to greasy. You will also notice that it acts like a barrier , the water forming little beads on your skin , I found it best to just pat dry leaving scent to linger lightly on your skin for hours.

I do like the smell Its just to sickly sweet for me however I think 14 year old me would of fallen in love , as a body conditioner however I was amazed at how well it worked and I felt my skin was really hydrated and smelled pretty all night long.

Luxury Lush Pud

         Luxury Lush Pud Review

Once apon a time there was a Twilight scented Christmas Bath Bomb called Lil Pud.
People loved the little bath bomb so lush took it and modernized it , made it bright and pretty and in 2013 it was bought out to the world in the Christmas seasonal collection and named it Luxury Lush pud,
The following Christmas they made it shine even brighter by making  it a neon pink colour to make it one of Lushes all time bet bath bomb that we all know and love so much.

Like most people I was excited by the design of this bathbomb , being neon pink and white with round disks of yellow , blue ,green and orange all topped off with a brownish green candy sprig of holly on top complete with a little berry , it has got to be one of the mot beautiful of the seasonal collection.

The lush website describe this bath bomb as sweet and malty - desert scented wich I must admit I found confusing because to me the sweet yet sophisticated cent of Twilight is that of a strong lavender with just a hint of tonka and the smell is quite strong in this bathbomb. Though I know lavender doesn't always appeal to the younger people I assure you there is something different about this scent that will suit people of any age and is just to pretty to pass up , not to mention the fact that its a real winter warmer perfect to help get you all sleepy before bed

But the thing that really makes luxury lush pud truly stand out is what it dose in the tub, pop this beauty in your warm bath water and watch  it start to froth , that smell flooding the room as  it bubbles out streams of vivid pink , green, yellow and blue across the surface in a truly entertaining display that I a feast for the senses.

It sounds to good to be true I know but yes there are some downsides in a way, its true that this bathbomb is far from hydrating and you will need to slather on that body lotion after bath and some people resent the fact that there is already a twilight bath bomb  and so do not need another one, However I think that lush really wanted to spoil us at Christmas and what better gift is there than a stunningly beautifully designed bath bomb with one of Lushes most loved scents. My Own personal complaint is that I would love this with jut a little stronger scent because a Im sure you know by now  I love me a strong intoxicating smell.

Stock up guys this bath bomb outshines nearly all of Lushes Products

Sleepy Body Lotion

Sleepy Review

Its a Lush Fans dream come true ... yes it is the Twilight scent family out for Christmas in a brand  new format  ...and that format is a body lotion aptly named Sleepy , and Yes like all of this years Christmas range it is self preserving so I know alot of Lushies will be stocking up for the whole year.

For those who dont know what Twilight is ...well to me it is like walking through a field of pure lavender on a warm summers evening with just a hint of a little something creamy

Sleepy in the pot is a very lightly scented lotion, pale lavender in colour as well as scent pact full of oatmeal Infusion known for its soothing properties , Almond oil as well as all that lavender water and lavender infusion that is natures remedy for dry and damaged skin not to mention the help to drift of to sleep for poor insomniacs like me or anyone wanting that little bit of comfort before bed time, when on the skin that smell really comes to life getting alot stronger and deeper against the heat of your body. The fine layer of sparkling silver lustre seen on top of the lotion does not run through out the lotion so for those who are not the glitter type you need not avoid this little  beauty.

Sleepy has the perfect consistency not being to thin or to thick on the skin , A little goes a long way, my skin just soaked this lotion up and was left with a soft sheen but was not sticky.

This is my new favorite body lotion that is a must have this season , My top tip is to use this after a twilight bath bomb soak in the tub to de stress on those long and cold winter evenings to help you drift off into a peaceful slumber and gloriously hydrated skin .

Ruby Red Slippers

Ruby Red Slippers Review

Newly reformulated for the Christmas release this year Ruby Red Slippers is a stunning deep red glittering shoe coming to you straight from the emerald city,
named and now shaped in honor of the wizard of Oz Lush have done yet another fantastic job of telling a tale

First released in 2005 this bubble bar was then just a flat circle and so I be leave lush truly did the right thing when dreaming up how to make this little stunner better

It shares its scent with the Potion body Moisturizer and I have to say has a truly unique stunning smell that reminds me of a garden center or that first step inside a florists , packed full of rose , tangerine and carnation oils it is a strong smelling spicy rose that will keep you sniffing this bar time and time again

Crumbled under the running water Ruby Red takes no time in frothing up a large amount  of gorgeous creamy , moisturizing bubbles that mountain over the whole bath making this by far the best bubble making bar I have tried from lush

The strong sent radiating in the warm air of your bathroom  I found it warm and cozy perfect for the colder evenings to thaw out those chilled bones leaving you smelling fantastic after wards witch is a real plus for me

If You part some of that skin quenching foam you will find stunning scarlet water peeking up at you  shimmering with lustre that give this bath that extra element of luxury.

Im going to have to say it , Im in LOVE  this bubble bar has everything you could want and more , the scent is fantastic is strong and sticks to the skin , it super good for the skin, masses of bubbles and stunning colored water.

I will be stocking up and at just £3.95 each it is well worth the price as I only used half of the bubble bar and got one of the best winter time baths

Festive Friends Gift Set

Firstly I would like to say this is not a review of the products inside but a little information about the gift set to help you should you want to buy one of this particular set for family, friends or a treat for yourself like I have done.

Links to my review to the individual products shall be added as I review them

Festive Friends Gift Set

Festive Friends is one of the cheaper Gift Sets that Lush sell at just £12.95 . Normally I do find that not all the sets are not wroth the money you pay however I do not think that is the case with this one .

In a square cardboard box wrapped in paper of Lushes own design of a green and red ( very Christmasy) paper with cartoon pictures of the a Little polar bear , a blue and white penguin that looks like something out of Walace and Gromit and Santa's rosy red  face to reflect the content all tied up in a sparkly red ribbon

A tag on top in the shape of the Christmas penguin bubble bar looking very cute on top, In side it gives you the classic To..... From ..... space to write on , on one side while the other say the more the merrier and gives you a list of products inside , it also informs you that this gift set is suitable for vegans

The Products inside and information given

75g ButterBear bath bomb

Pamper your skin with vanilla scented fair trade cocoa butter bear hugs.

200g Father Christmas bath bomb

Fill your bath with a jolly, holy green colour and sweet ,candy floss fragrance.

100g The Christmas Penguin bubble bar

Feel toasty in the midst of chill as this citrusy penguin turns your bath into a Antarctic landscape.

I like this set I think the wrapping is fun for any age the products are mostly what I would call girly and cute , I would love to see this under My Christmas tree and i would make a great present for those people who you spend less on at Christmas like friends or colleagues or as a extra little something gift , I also think that this particular gift set is well worth the price tag.

Jingle Bells gift set

Jingle Bells Gift Set

Firstly I would like to say this is not a review of the products inside but a little information about the gift set to help you should you want to buy one of this particular set for family, friends or a treat for yourself like I have done.

Links to my review to the individual products shall be added as I review them

Jingle Bells gift set is one of the cheaper sets at just £9.95 Making it really affordable as a smaller gift for someone , or to give to a friend or colleague

It is a small rectangle cardboard box wrapped up in a unique wrapping paper made by lust that is a deep orange that boards or being a blood red with beautiful hand help bells imprinted on it and to pop it all off lush have tried it all up in a Christmas green sparkly bow with a real bell attached making this gift jingle when you move it so it really lives up to its name

Lush have also added a  yellow and green gift tag in the shape of a bell that says in deep red writing ..Jingle Bells , Inside this tag it says Go all the way , informs you that this gift set is vegan  and has a list of what is inside the box and some information on each product as well as the classic To.......... From.......... space for you to fill out

Inside this set is

125g Peeping stanta bubble bar

Described on gift tag as .This cheeky Santa with Shea butter and strawberry scent will put the ho ho ho into your holidays.

200g Father Christmas bath bomb

Described on gift tag as..Fill Your bath with a jolly , holy green colour and sweet candy floss fragrance .... ( its snow fairy scented)

In short  Im not always sure if some of these cheaper gift sets are worth the money spend I do like this gift set, both items inside are from this years seasonal range and I am a fan of both products inside though I do think the wrapping doesn't really reflect the very sweet perhaps girly scents inside.

A definite win when looking for a cheaper gift for a vegan as well, I would get it for a friend or as a extra little something , In-fact I have some friends in mind I may get this gift set for.

Golden Wonder Ballistic

Golden Wonder Ballistic Review

Golden wonder Ballistic came highly recommended to me by a friend and Couldnt wait to get it , I bought this little gift for myself online ...

Released as part of the Christmas collection this year Golden wonder seems to be very a popular re release i couldn't wait to try

My first thought when it arrived was how unique the design is in its mostly square gift box shape with golden lustre finish and cream bow on top , it is also one of the largest  lush ballistics to date making this little package of joy more than worth its price at just £4.25 each, you could easily get 2 baths if your not greedy like me .

Lush say that the inspiration for this ballistic was the idea of the game pass the parcel , they made each layer different so its a real party popper for this time of year.

Golden wonder sharing its scent with snow showers shower gel has a light but beautiful  smooth but sweet citrus smell full of sweet orange oil, lime oil and cognac oil that do stand out but i must say the aroma is not as strong as I personal would like.

As soon as its placed in the water it fizzes to the surface with a stream of white and yellow froth . He is fast acting and soon opens up releasing swirls of a stunning shade of deep aqua blue that takes over the water with a mix of golden lustre and soluble paper stars ( in my case not many starts at all ) before disappearing all together . This is a stunning show to watch however I did not find that the scent was any stronger in the water wich for me can be a deal breaker.

The lustre does not stick to your skin or the bath so there is very little clear up after bath

To be honest I didn't fall in love though the display of colors reminded me of a peacock showing off his feathers , I prefer a strong aroma that fills the bathroom and sticks to the skin after bath , I also found that my skin was a little dry after use so I had to use plenty of body lotion after.

All in all this ballistic puts on a great show but may be all mouth and no action
