Fireside

Fireside soap Review

Like most of this years Halloween collection I was looking forward to this soap as it was yet another new release  and  i couldn't wait to see it as the pictures I had seem displayed a stunning deep read bar with yellow flames embedded in it , And although the slice I received did not look like flaming lava but a abstract scare pattern I still was not disappointed

As ever this soap was aptly named as lush do so well

the scent blew me away, such a nostalgic warm wintry smell that will spice you up any time you use it leaving a light muskiness trace on the skin , reminding me of Christmas time in-front of a open fire with a warm cup  some cinnamon drink or mulled wine

Containing both dried chestnuts and chestnut flour, is a nutty and naturally sweet but spiced soap.

It lathers up well , more so then most lush soaps however i did notice that the yellow part seems to create the creamy bubbles rather than all of the bar

I first used fireside to wash my hands and face at the sink and fell in love , the warm scent filled the steamy bathroom and encased me in a warm winter memory of my Granddad,

Like most people smells can trigger warm feeling and memory's , for me I loved it

, I washed my skin well without leaving it dry and I found myself smelling my hands for long afterwards enjoying the light musky odor left, that reminded me of a mans aftershave left behind on your sheets ( you know what Im saying girls )

For Me this is as yet my favorite Lush soap by far ...thank you lush

this is my new winter crush, but its not love

Goth Fairy Shimmer Bar

Goth Fairy Shimmer Bar Review

I must admit This was the one item from this years Halloween collection I was not excited about .

Im just not a glitter girl

I was won over by the cuteness of this spooky little guy as well as  wanting to have the whole collection for you guys especially as this is a brand new release this year

The goth fairy it must be said smells amazing , Its a very soft but sweet fruity smell that does have alot of similarity's with a orange lolly pop , after doing some research I found out that it shares its scent with a now discontinued space girl bath bomb , I can only say that I love it and hope that Lush release more  delicious goodies with this scent

Just like a massage bar, Goth Fairy contains lots of butters and oils to help it work perfectly on the skin  illipe and cupuacu butters to soften and moisture your skin, and almond oil to add radiance and shine, and works very well as one although I would recommend using a body lotion afterwards as this product was not made with the intent of nourishing the skin but in covering it with shimmer

Packed with a shed load of shimmer in a rainbow of colors I found My non glitter loving self trying to use it as a make up highlight  under eye and I loved it.

so while I wont be dancing around my handbag covered in glitter any time soon as a massage bar at home or a little highlight to add a sparkle on a night out I do enjoy Goth fairy and found that a little goes a long way even when used as a massage bar so it should last a long time

I find this hard to rate as It just a shimmer bar just is not for me, but I enjoy the smell , its cute and it works very well for its use

Magic Wand

Magic Wand Soap Review

When I first saw a picture of this Product on Lushes twitter account I got very excited it was stunning In pictures ,
Before being cut this fabulous soap looks like something from Willy Wonkers factory , Its one tall free standing circular pole , completely black looking on the outside and orange that looks far more yellow on the website in the center , I knew straight away I wanted it

I bought this item in store , As soon as I got there I  headed straight to it , it did not disappoint really living up to its name of Magic , displayed so beautifully it looked like something that grew in a magical Forrest I could well imagine fairy's talking caterpillars sat on mushrooms .

I had to try it as soon as I got home And as soon as it was out of its packaging I noticed that the outer charcoal shell it not black but a very dark green
With pomegranate in  that is fantastic for greasing skin and also buffs slightly , the center being of a softer consistency and smelling amazing the tangerine and orange oil  its pungent and brilliant , this is a product you could sit and sniff all day.

It foams up very well with soft kind suds , you really feel like you have had a good wash and unlike alot of soaps it has a luxurious element to it , the scent lingering on the skin for a long time
At just £ 3.50 this unique washer is well worth the cost

To be honest I cannot rate this product enough , I fell In love and only wish it was not just a Halloween release

 I will be stocking up

Pumpkin Bath Bomb

Pumpkin Bath Bomb Review

Before this years release I had looked through Lush Halloween Hauls of the past and had noticed that the hadnt been any real Jack O Lantern type Products so I was very excited to buy this as soon as it was to be in the shops
Before use I recommend taking some time to truly appreciate the smell of this bomb  the Lush.co.uk website describe as a slab of sweet pumpkin pie as the scent is hard to place I didn't find it particularly a pumpkin smell not that ive spent all that much time sniffing pumpkins , I found it to be more of a sweet satsuma aroma also reminding me of  the potpourri with peaces of dried orange peel in it that my Nan often sends for Christmas , spicy cinnamon  and  yet sweet vanilla really coming into play

From the moment its in the water it erupts into a  Fizzing Autumn display dispersing a beautiful orange coloring through the bath water while that delicious fruity scent fills the air and water.

Though I didn't find it particularly moisturizing or luxurious I enjoyed this bath immensely, bringing me back to childhood Halloweens , dressed up in blacks and oranges going door to door trick or treating for sweet's.
I found it much like sitting in a warm batch of orange squash , not that I have ever done that lol
Also the scent doesn't stay on the skin after your bath time you emerge feeling nice and refreshed ready for the day.

With a Little Lustre or a extra spin on it thing product would be one of my favorites but on smell and colour alone it didn't make it that far but I still hope it comes out again next year , well worth a buy

Lord of Misrule shower cream

Lord of Misrule shower cream Review

Much like the Lord of Misrule bath bomb I wasn't sure about this shower cream in fact I dont think I would of picked it up if it wasn't for the fact it came in the ( green monsters head shaped ) Little Monster gift set I wanted so much.... what can I say Im a big kid at heart.

I was sure I would not like the scent as Im not a fan of black pepper, I was somewhat  wrong .
In the set was a rather cute 60 mg bottle of Lord of Misrule shower cream and a Monsters Bath bomb but we will talk about that another day.

As you know from my review of the bath bomb I discovered that this combination of patchouli , black pepper and peppercorn giving this cream a strong spiced distinctive aroma softens by the sweetness of vanilla, (Vanilla being my favorite smell in the world.) is unique and while its not my favorites scent I know that alot of Lushies go crazy for this product and I appreciate  it for what it is , a warming spiced Halloween treat for the skin ,there was just a little to much of the pepper for my taste in the shower cream that I didn't find in the bath bomb.

This shower cream lathers up on your wet skin  really well leaving it a temporary shade of deep Christmas tree green before its washed away, you can feel how nourishing it is for your skin straight away and the smell lingers on your skin all day after use, ( who doesn't want to smell of lush as long as they possible can )

lush made the first appearance of this product in 2013 in there Halloween collection but it wasn't released again until 2015 and in this years Halloween collection , from what I can tell in previous years it had alot of lustre in the mix however in 2016 it is more of a mat color with no lustre ( I checked the ingredients lol)

If your looking for a warming winter shower with what I think is spicy almost mulled wine scent perfect for Christmas time ( even though its a Halloween release )  you just may really enjoy it , for me I would try it again but think its more suited to a Christmas product

Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb

I very nearly didn't order this Bath bomb fully expecting not to like it black pepper being a big no no for me , but I wanted to get all of the Halloween collection so gave it a chance.

This speckled grass green bath bomb wearing a crown is inspired by the ruler of the pagan feast of fools originally bought out in 2013 as part of the Halloween collection it is back this year also as a lushoween release .

Lord of Misrule scent is a deep patchouli intertwined with the sweetness of vanilla and spiciness of black pepper that lingers in the air well but doesn't stay on the skin to long

Dropped into your bath it  floats well and begins to swirl trailing a stunning green and dark pink foam, giving on hell of a show whilst turning the water a deep red it does take a little longer to dissolve but I found it so beautiful I didn't mind the wait.

Once I was in the bath I soon noticed that it softens the water and feels very nourishing on the skin .

I originally didn't really understand why this was part of the Halloween collection but when it is the water the colored foam looses its green and pink streaks leaving  pure white layer thats look like mist hovering over a blood red lagoon .
The popping candy, snapped and cracked adding sound affects to your own personal ghoulish pool .
You can feel the candy almost kissing the skin it made me think of bat wings fluttering past a real Halloween treat.

This bath would be amazing on all Hallows night by candle light , it was amazing !

Fairy Dust Dusting Powder

Fairy Dust Dusting Powder

As you all know I haven't been collecting Lush Products for very long , Before I found Lush I would of told you I didn't like sweet smells they always reminded me of my Sister at about 13 with her cheap shop ,sickly sweet fake smelling strawberry body butter so I always preferred a more musky scent
Lush have changed that for me , I found myself liking things I never thought I would so when I heard of The Christmas range this year bringing out Fairy Dust I was really excited to try it and it did not disappoint
The Lush uk website describes this magical pastel pink dusting powder as lustre with wings and give a tip to try sprinkling some on your bed sheets to candy coat them all night ( I haven't tried as it doesn't appeal to me ).
I always use a Dusting powder once out of the bath and dried off , I loved this product I found it worked excellently , felt very luxurious and girly . while Im not a great lover of lustre I didn't find this product to shimmery it just gave a nice sparkle , I imagine a little of this on the collar bone would look great on a night out
Fairy Dust is soft and silky on the skin with a strong bubblegum /candyfloss smell with a hint of freshly made cupcake that lingers on the skin leaving it sparkling with shimmer..

This is a Christmas product only and was released for the first time last year , However this is not the first dusting powder bought out by Lush with the same scent as in early 2015 a dusting powder called Candy fluff was in the kitchen with the same smell.

I think I have a crush

Same scent family as Fairy dust, bubblegum lip scrub, Candy fluff, Best wishes wash card, candy fluff dusting powder , Father Christmas bath bomb, fluffy egg bath bomb, Godmother soap , all snow fairy products , lush mechanic cold pressed soap , magic bubble bar , melting marshmallow bath melt , pink easter egg ballistic.
